This year, ESPECIALLY this year, I feel as if I have a lot to be thankful for. Things may have been VERY different for our little family but we’ve been so fortunate and I just feel the need to share a little Christmas gratitude.

Greg

He’s my partner in crime, my best friend, my other half and biggest supporter. We have such an incredible life together and it’s wild just how fast time flies when you’re actually having fun. We’re coming up on seven years together in 2021 and it seems like just yesterday we met. We have so much fun together, no matter what we’re doing. There’s absolutely no one else in the universe that I’d rather take on life with than him. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us.

Harve

He may be a giant pain in the ass sometimes, but dogs are the greatest gift this life has to offer – and I’ll fight you over it. I’d do anything to keep this dog happy and healthy because he is my baby. Heelers are easily a girl’s best friend.

Family + Friends

It’s been a little difficult not being able to see family and friends as often as we’d like, but I’ve never been so grateful for their happiness and health as I am this year. We made many friends this year and it’s been fun watching our friendships grow. We had a lot of really bizarre things happen throughout the year but it’s only made everyone closer. Distance really does make the heart grow fonder.

Street Parking + My Own Health

I am so thankful to have discovered Street Parking so that I can continue to work on my own health and goals from home. I’ve met so many wonderful people, including one of my best friends (that I’ve never even actually met) and achieved so much more on a personal level than I could have ever imagined. I may have gotten sick with the ‘rona earlier this year, but I truly think being healthy helped me recover quickly.

Employment

I am SO grateful that I never went without a job or a period of time where I couldn’t work, other than when I had to quarantine for two weeks when I got sick. I’ve been very blessed with having not only an excellent and stable job, but that I was even able to change jobs halfway through the year. I learned just how capable I really am this year, as far as my time management, organizational skills, mechanical skills and people skills go. It was an intense year with a LOT of learning. Along the way, I’ve earned some of the best coworkers and boss. They really do become part of your own family.

Our Beautiful Home

We’ve been in our home for a little over two years now and even though we weren’t able to do some renovations that we wanted this year, due to all the ‘rona crap, we still are fortunate to have a roof over our heads. We’ve also made friends with neighbors and we couldn’t be more happy to be surrounded by good people.

I feel like practicing gratitude is such an important part of day to day life. Even if you’re only thankful for something small or an experience you had that day, it’ll begin to shift your mindset.

Going forward, try to remember to be grateful for something every day. Maybe start today by sharing a little bit of your own Christmas gratitude with your family and friends. Or keep it private, whatever you want.

You’ll begin to notice your attitude changing and you’ll be living a happier, more thankful life.
