Sunday. My favorite day of the week. It’s the day to prepare for a fresh start on Monday. As I sit here with my planner (aff link) and sip my Sunday coffee, I sit here and plan to be the best I can be, even if I’m not doing anything more than I was the week before. Here’s a few things you can do, as well 🙂
Smile.
It literally costs nothing to change your demeanor, as well as those around you, just by smiling a little bit. Flashing your pearly whites at a stranger, just because, can brighten a day. As the queen, Dolly Parton, says, “if you see someone without a smile, give ’em one of yours!” – You just never know who can use a smile
Plan.
I plan out and write down my time outside of work for my studying, my workouts, what we’re eating and when my free time will be, so that I can make the most of the time that I have. I also try to plan out my blog posts + any associated social media that goes with it. I’m not messing around when I say I want this blog to succeed!
Prepare.
Meal prepping is literally my lifesaver. I plan out my meals for the week in the RP app so that all my macros are on point, cook all of our lunches (aff link) and pack them the night before. I also do all of my laundry, lay out my work clothes and my workout clothes. No excuses! And for the love of all things holy, program your coffee maker! (aff link)
Read.
This is optional, but I try to read for about 10-15 minutes a day, whether it be walking on the treadmill at 6am, in my Jeep on my lunch break or before I fall asleep. Reading seemingly slows everything down and makes you feel so much more relaxed. I love it. I’m currently reading “Atomic Habits,” by James Clear (aff link) on my Amazon Fire tablet. (aff link)
Have the Best Week Ever.
I’m a big fan of trying to manifest what I want into reality, even if all it is is telling myself that I’m going to have a great day or great week. It’s really hard to have a bad day when you wake up, smile and tell yourself that it’s going to be a good day. Give it a try, you’ll be surprised from this small mindset shift.
This wasn’t a planned post, but it was one I thought of over my Sunday coffee. I hope it helps you in your quest to have the best week ever.
What’re some of your favorite ways to prepare for a good week?
