Do you know someone who claims they have no time? I get it. You have a family, you have a job, you have shit that needs done, you have an entire list of things to do but none of them include taking care of yourself. Insert dramatic eye roll. We get it. You’re busy. So is everyone else on the planet. So to help some of you that say you have no time, allow me to extend a helping hand. Here’s five easy time saving hacks for those who claim they have no time.

  • Plan meals + workouts ahead of time. I know I’ve said this time and time again, but it’s the biggest and most important step. Plan your shit so you can get your shit done. Set aside an hour to plan your week. You will thank yourself later. Meals can be written down or prepped, just have a plan in place so you’re not wasting time later, trying to figure out what to make. As far as your workouts go, if you don’t have have programing in place or you don’t feel like it – walk. Walking is great for your body and mind.
  • Keep some healthy snacks in the fridge or pantry ready to throw together to stay on track. Some easy to grab veggies, fruits, clean snack bars *AFF LINK*, etc. Celery, bright colored peppers, grapes, berries and bananas are staples in our house. Also, clean and precut veggies when you buy them to store for quick and easy snacking.

  • Find out your macros and know what and how to fulfill those macros daily. For example, know what proteins you like (greek yogurt, turkey breast, eggs, soy, etc), as well as carbs, fats and veggies… and keep them on hand. I always add in veggies on top of my carbs because they’re practically freebies in your diet and they help with your micros as well. I keep a good meal replacement protein on my shelf so that when I come in low on my macros, I can make a shake real quick to get back on track. MyFitnessPal or 1st Phorm’s MyTransphormation app can help with gathering some basic data to see about where you should be for macros.
  • Always have a water bottle near-by. Gallon water bottles are great but make a HUGE mess when you drop them and they’re kind of a pain in the ass to clean. A good, 32oz water bottle *AFF LINK* with a strap is PERFECT and only needs filled 4x per day to get to a gallon.
  • Find a like-minded person to be your accountability partner. This goes a LONG way. Something as easy as a quick text from your accountability friend can get your ass back in gear and on the right track. Mine lives 2,000 miles away from me and we’re on completely different schedules now, but we still manage to talk enough shit to get it done. Don’t know where to find one? Search a fitness hashtag on IG and find millions of people like yourself. Seriously. My favorites are #streetparking and #iam1stphorm

Now, these five steps won’t solve all of your problems, but they will certainly help you back on the wagon to consistency and accountability. You DO have the time, you just don’t know how to prioritize time for yourself. It’s wonderful putting others before yourself, but never forget to make time for yourself. Remember, you can’t pour from a glass that’s half full.

As always, I am more than happy to help with accountability and be your biggest cheerleader! You can do it! 🙂
